Henry Apaloo – Assistant Coach USF
Apaloo is in his first season as an assistant coach at USF. Apaloo spent one season with Butehorn at FGCU after a successful playing and coaching career at Division II Barry University. Apaloo helped the Eagles reach top-25 status last season, ending the year with a No. 22 NSCAA national ranking. FGCU made its fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament under Butehorn, including a first round win.
Prior to his arrival at FGCU, Apaloo spent six years as an assistant coach at Barry. As a coach with the Buccaneers, Apaloo helped guide the program to two NCAA Tournament appearances (2009, 2013), producing nine all-region players and five All-Americans. Apaloo was a four-year letterwinner with Barry from 2004-08, and served as a graduate assistant coach for the team from 2008-10.

The first full-time assistant coach in Barry men’s soccer history, Apaloo helped the Bucs to winning seasons in six of his eight years on the sidelines, including double-digit wins in four campaigns. In addition claiming the Sunshine State Conference regular-season championship in 2010, Barry won the SSC Tournament crown in 2009 and 2013.
Aside from his playing and coaching experience, both in the U.S. and overseas, Apaloo holds a Football Association (FA) Level 2 Coaching Badge, an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, an NSCAA Level 1 Goalkeeping Certificate and a USSF C License.
Apaloo – who was also an assistant coach for Miami Dade FC of the American Premier Soccer League – graduated from Barry with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a minor in Business Management in 2008. He earned his Master of Science in Sports Management from Barry in 2010.
